My
name is Gary Bieske and I am the owner of Pikes Peak Resort.I am a long time resident of this area and
fell in love with a 160-acre ranch in a secluded part of northern TellerCounty
in 1997.
After
years of searching, the ranch met all of my criteria; surrounded by national
forest, abundance of wildlife, year round stream with pasture, easy access with
a county maintained road, and very quiet with no highways nearby.
Let's Build a Resort
My
dream was to build a resort where guests can experience the splendor of Mother
Nature relaxing in luxury accommodations. To share with visitors what I get to see every day and say, “WOW.”
I
started in 2000 building a resort from the ground up and opened two guest
cabins in June of 2002.The Hayman Fire hit 2 weeks later claiming both of the
new cabins and luckily sparing my home (the Wilderness).
I
decided to rebuild and reopened the Elk & Eagle Crest cabins in the spring
of 2003. With an enormous amount of help from friends, family, and the
community, the ranch has been reclaimed and is now a mixture of grasslands and
forest.
Shortly
after the Hayman Fire, I took advantage of some depressed real-estate prices to
pick up another 80 acres and an 8000 square foot home adjacent to the ranch for
a future guest lodge.
The
home has since been completely remodeled and opened as the West Creek Lodge in
the summer of 2005 with 4 spacious guest suites. I live on the upper level of
the home with my two lovable Labradors, Mattie
& Aspen which provide entertainment for anyone willing to toss a toy.
The Staff
The
resort manager is Jenn Jehly, who you might mistake as the owner due to the enormous
amount of time and work that she commits to the resort. Warm hospitality is her specialty and she
truly enjoys cooking breakfast, sharing stories with the guests, or making
recommendations for a fun day of activities. You’ll find all of the staff here at Pikes Peak Resort to be friendly,
accommodating, and striving to make your vacation a memorable one.
The Dream Continues...
After spending years
rebuilding cabins, remodeling the lodge and reclaiming the land, we plan to
open a new cabin in the spring of 2010.This
will be our most secluded, luxurious cabin and will be a show case in green
construction. The photo to the right will be our construction site. Come check it out!
Come visit us and relax in the secluded splendor of Pikes Peak Resort!
